My top 8 free resources
I've compiled a short list here of my most favourite resources and best of all, they are all FREE!
1. Number One on my list is SiteManPro. It is a complete business management software that allows you to run multiple sites from one place and includes a blog and a shopping cart!
I had settled on building a site with Joomla and its' open source extensions. I happened upon finding the SMP. After reading up on SMP's features, I decided to use it to build a membership site for myself to see if it would be suitable for my clients.
What a different experience I had from using open source! SMP is so intuitive to use and set up! With excellent service I've had, I am now using it to build websites for all my clients.
The fact that SiteManPro's features are so comprehensive and function so well and have such a short learning curve, combined with their excellent service makes SMP one of the best platforms out there!
SMPExperts can provide you with free training or you can let their certified technicians build your membership site for you.

2. Number Two on my list is Jing. Use it to take screenshots or use the paid version (under $15!) to create capture videos of your screen. You can save or copy the screenshots and then edit them if you have to.
3. Number Three on my list is CamStudio. If you can't afford Camtasia you can use CamStudio. It's a screen recording software which will record a video and help you post that video for sharing. Easy to use, very intuitive, it will allow you to choose your whole screen or just a part of it.
4. Number Four on my list is WavePad. Use it to make and edit music, voice and other audio recordings. You can cut and paste and add effects like echo, amplification and noise reduction. It is easy to cut, copy and paste parts of recordings and, if required, add effects like echo, amplification and noise reduction. WavePad is a wav editor and MP3 editor, and supports a number of other file formats.
5. Number 5 is Mozilla and it's extensions, FireFTP, Capture Fox, just to name a couple. I've found Mozilla to be bug free.
6. And, if you need a helpdesk, check out Number 6 - osTicket.
7. If you need help organizing your photos, try Picasa. You won't have to worry about losing that important photo.
8. Resources for Virtual Assistants has a good number of free quality products available for non-members.
